These days, is an English or Creative Writing Degree worth much?We Answered:
Definitely. While quality writing samples are indeed important, many jobs in the publishing/editing field like to see that you have a degree in English, journalism or creative writing.Competition is another factor to consider. The writing/editing/publishing fields can be very competitive, and having that degree can be the deciding factor in whether you get the job.
Lastly, while your writing samples may be good now, a degree program can give you the chance to hone your skills, and become an even better writer.

What's a good story plot for higher English creative writing? We Answered:
Higher English creative writing doesn't mean you have to involve anything medieval or ancient. It means that you need to produce something original, far from the popular story plots, and with literary poetic diction.A fictional story can be about anything. Try to write something vivid that you can describe elaborately. Why not fictionalize your experience being hospitalized? The old woman you shared the hospital room taught you a meaningful life lesson and she dies on your last day there. Childhood experience is also very emotional. Try something like a point where you had an enlightenment and you matured.

What's the best age to teach english/creative writing? We Answered:
I think this should be started in kindergarten and continued every year! They can dictate stories, copy the printed version for themselves and then illustrate and make a cover for it. I had my class even edit themselves and do peer editing and then they were allowed to go to the "creation station" to make their covers. They loved it and it develops a love of reading too. They shared their stories with the class. If they are raised loving to do it then it will remain something constant in their preferences. If you spring it on them in middle school they may be too shy, or overwhelmed.Vincent Said:
