You can get UV coating on one or two sides. I think UV coating is very elegant, however you typically cannot write on them. However, if you need to write on them, perhaps you can have them UV coated on one side, and the back side can be still glossy, but uncoated so you can write on them.

I've used Reduced Printing (www.reducedprinting.com), and they print on thick glossy paper. Last time I've used them I used coupon code "google25" and saved $25 but I'm not sure if it still works. They have good quality, I do recommend them.
