Writing A Business Quotation

Angela Said:

Does anybody require a fully qualified plasterer?

We Answered:

I know that Canada is in real need of good Plasterers and every other tradesmen.
The boom is in oil and gas and the workers are moving to Alberta faster than flies but ......... there are not enough to meet the demand. Because of the oil boom the housing market has gone crazy; not enough trademen to build all the housing needed!
So pack up my friend and come on over to the land of plenty and a beautiful land it is too!
I came in '67 and never looked back but the boom now is the best ever!
I (now retired) operate a Bed & Breakfast (Collingwood Cove Bed & Breakfast ) near Edmtonton and the oil field workers just love to come here to relax on their 4 days off and spend their "big money" on nights out in Edmonton.
Cheers!

Grammar questions for a long story... ?

We Answered:

There is no rule, do what you like the best. I often see it in italic, but also with quotation marks or without anything particular. Anyway, whatever you choose it's better to keep it the whole text, from the very first time.

Todd Said:

I just started a business, it took me 3 years. I felt sorry for my friend because he never had a decent job?

We Answered:

Ah Life without Grassy - big mistake

Kick his sorry *** to the curb and bring in Grassy

At least you know Grassy won't try to screw up your business...lol

Loook out after yourself and Grassy will provide all the loving you will ever need

Marshall Said:

IS my condo board creating a monopoly with this rule?*Corrected version**?

We Answered:

Move, I hate Condo Boards. Been there done that and I will never do it again. What a crock :)

Willie Said:

Website address in quotation marks - does the period go in the quotation marks too?

We Answered:

I usually cheat and reword the sentence so that the punctuation follows another word. If I must follow a web address with a period, I put a full space between the two: http://www.gutenberg.org/ . I doubt if even the most nit-picking boss will be bothered by a space, and I think it helps the reader. I agree with another answer that quotation marks are not necessary.

My MLA Handbook does it this way [direct quote]:

Keats, John. Poetical Works [underlined]. 1884. Bartleby.com: Great Books Online [underlined]. Ed. Steven van Leeuwen. 2002. 5 May 2002 <>.http://www.bartleby.com/126/>.

The two titles are underlined, but Yahoo!Answers makes underlining very difficult.
