The problem is, the economic portion of your plan would literally take *decades* to execute if you wanted to keep it discreet. You couldn't do it all within a normal human lifespan, *even if* you had sufficient advance knowledge of market reactions to make *perfect* investments every time and never lose one red cent.

You'd have to be immortal and bullet-proof to make that part work. Do you not think that other rich people--your Donald Trumps and Rupert Murdochs--would not notice your behavior and put their own resources into thwarting yours? Honestly, this is one of the *big* reasons why mid-1980s Japan *didn't* stay on top and take over the whole world--people saw it coming and reacted to the news. Enough people reacted rationally, and enough Japanese businessmen screwed up, doing irrational things, that it was enough to knock them down, big time.

What you are talking about is basically having the time, money, and potentially the inhuman powers (bulletproofing, Jedi Mind Tricks) to be a One Man Conspiracy. It doesn't work that way. It doesn't even work that way for the Federal Reserve and they're *way more* than one person.

Then there's the politicians. They almost *never* make sense. Yes, it's true that they're corrupt to a man, but every once in a blue moon you find an outlier--an Abraham Lincoln type--who is both honest and *popular* at the same time. You really can't deal with those--killing them just raises a huge stink, as per the JFK Assassination. And beyond some point bribes won't be accepted. So if you're still wanting to be discreet and *don't* have inhuman powers or immortality at your disposal....you'll have to accept putting large chunks of the world under "quarantine" for reasons that defy common sense.

It's one thing to do that to a place like South Africa--back when it had apartheid--or like China, which is still a dicatorship. It's another when you're dealing with a world power with a legitimate political process and really, *nothing's wrong* with the country. G.W. Bush tried this with France and got ridiculed for it for *years*, and it still didn't work really.

Now don't get me wrong--your plan is OK as far as generic conspiracies go. Lots of people really do suspect that this is Business as Usual for their favorite "mastermind group" like the Illuminati or the Freemasons.

But one person can't pull *all* of this off in a standard 80 year lifespan, not even if they start at five years old like Michael Jackson did. o.o The time isn't there to do it right and discreetly.

Oh, and other people who already *have* the money won't let you so much as get a job these days, you know?
