From my own experience I find email is a great tool to effectively communicate in the workplace. You have your request to fellow employees in writing and they in turn can accept a meeting invitation and it goes straight on their calendar. No excuses for them to not show up or follow through on a project.The downside is if you are like me and are very moody and take everything personally, than you may send out an email you will regret. I have done this and have learned to walk away from the computer and let myself calm down. Emails can be great..they can be a deal maker, or a deal breaker.
