some banks will finace what you need at a discounted rate if you promise to hire a set number of local people within 3 years of the startup. but loans like that are hard to find. so you can try a jumbo loan but that'll cost a lot. you should look up capital venture companies and see if they'll talk to you about your plan. if you're clearly organized and have everything planned out you may be able to get one of those rich guys to help you get it started. look them up in the yellow pages.

yes you can allocate the cost relating to the portion of your home used for business. you can deduct a pro rata % of utilities, phones, depreciation, etc...

note that your interest and real estate taxes is already deductible so it will not help with those. you will have to do the math to determine what % of square footage is used for business.

Well, this kind of choice is a really personal thing. If you are truly creative, different and individualistic you will probably struggle with a business program. You'll probably feel bored. Why not keep up with English and follow your heart. You can always take a few business classes on the side just to try them out or pursue this as a minor.

One you graduate people don't seem to care about the exact degree in business--they are interested in your reliability and ability to work with others.

Opinion? My opinion is that this is a scam. Anytime you see "GUARANTEE" in a situation like this, it screams "SCAM". You may have a good business plan and a good idea but your method of trying to interest people is wrong. I wouldn't touch an offer stated like this with a 20 foot pole.
