To North Sydney Girls High,I wish to request permission for my daughter, _________, Year 10, to take leave on the 11th December 2008 for an overseas travel to Canada. Our return date would be February 5th 2009.
I am aware that this is before the school term ends and after the new term begins however we werent able to find a more suitable flight date.
The nature of this trip is to spend time with my parents over the Holidays, my daughter's grandparents are very elderly and my daughter hasnt seen them in 10 years and given their fragile health there might not be another opportunity.
I apologize for disrupting the school schedule like this and for any inconviniences this may caus, I understand how important it is for students to attend the first year meeting, but the we couldnt find another suitable time. I will make sure _________ gets updated by her classmates of any work/assignment that needs to be completed in order for her not to behind in her classes.
