How To Write A Good Business Letter

Florence Said:

Can you write a business letter to two people at once?

We Answered:

it's ok to mention both names but in the correct way, which i think u gonna get rid of mistakes that would bother the read (e.g. employer) during his reading mood:D.

You should consider the business letter is a part of speech, it could be delivered to one person or more, so the way u have to start by is the write:

Dear HR officers/executives, for employers, or : for the attention of "write only the designation" and later on u can mention their names, i think this would better.! what do u think??

For Disney World, address your letter to the Disney company address at:

The Walt Disney Company
500 South Buena Vista Street
Burbank, California 91521

I would begin the letter to: To Whom It May Concern - that way they can read it and forward it to the appropriate person themselves. Specify that you would like park brochures. At this same address, you can get a signed autographed picture of Mickey & Minnie.

I sent them a wedding invitation to this address & got a celebrations photograph autographed by them. I don't know if they send them out for anything else. Also, I addressed the letter specifically to Mickey & Minnie Mouse when I did this. I suppose you could do the same with a birthday invitation, or just by asking for an autographed picture of them. I know this address has access to autographed pictures though, as I received one from them. The only other thing you could ask for would be a travel planning DVD of the parks. They are free, and fun to watch too.

I'm sure Disney would have no problem mailing you any of these things. Best of luck!

How to Do A Good Business Letter?

I am amazed at how two people who are advocating proper grammar cannot even spell grammar correctly to begin with. Frightening.

Anyhow, I don't have a degree in Journalism but I studied the field and wrote for a newspaper for three years. I am presently a creative writer/editor for a touring company so my qualifications are up to par.

My best advice is this (by the way, this seems more like a newsletter/press release than a business letter):

1. Define the purpose. You've mentioned you want people to believe in this company and consider it the cream of the crop.

2. Be simplistic but detailed. Contradicting? I know. In simple terms: Explain three top reasons for why this company is as great as it is. Don't pepper it with excessive words out of a thesaurus. Use simple language. "XYZ has delivered high quality customer service to its clients for over 15 years and is ranked #??? in sales.

3. Write out a couple of achievements/accolades (see above).

4. If you have some testimonial from customers, put in one or two quotes.

5. Polish, edit, and take to your boss for approval. If it's clean, respectable, and ready for distribution, you're all set!

Good luck!

Screw the letter mate, talk to you supervisor or manager. They should sort it out on your behalf.

You shouldn't have to write a letter. If you have access to a internal phone directory as a last resort I would also go over their heads if they haven't given you a phone call, I'd be ringing their manager.
