The other thing I would do is maybe speak with a large organisation you already deal with (even if they supply you!) - explain what you are doing and ask for their assistance. Am sure most would be pos+ about assisting a charity. If you can't identify one you know, speak with your local chamber of commerce and see if they can direct you. That way you can build the proposal in "real time" rather than sitting in an office trying to dream up the perfect pitch. By the way there is (imho) no right way, a one slide presentation can do the job as well as a 100 page detailed business plan - it just needs to fit the audience and your objectives. Good Luck

Go to your local SBA office or at least start on their website... they will help you write a good business plan and put you in touch with banks that lend government backed money.

In my opinion your best bet is to develop a business relationship with the person who has the purchasing power. Take them to lunch, be friendly, win them over. Prices are negotiable - you just want to be the one who they negotiate with in the end!
