It really depends on how well you can get along with the person. I am writing a novel with someone and we get along really well. We are kind of like ya'll are. I can't put words to paper but I can come up with the story line and she writes it then I edit it. We go over things a lot. Sometimes we disagree on things but we always come to a good agreement that works for both of us. There are writers out there who do pair up to write novels.
