Jean Said:

How do my business partner and I split the participant fee from leads that come in off PR that I have written?

We Answered:

You gotta look at the overall picture and ask yourself what value your partner brings to the business. Is it greater or equal to the net value you can do alone, with another partner or employee who will do it for less? If you are paying all the expenses, then you deserve a higher return on the profits like say, 60/40, unless of course, your partner's skill brings in a lot more profit than you or equally to you,and / or has some skill that nobody possibly could have, in which case it should be 50/50. Writing and publishing ads is not something you can do one week and your partner the next week. It requires the person with the most talent to write it in order to get the best responses, and publised for the best price. If you are the most skilled, you can work on it together by having your partner write the ad and you editing it and authorizing it to be publsihed or visa versa.

Where can I find mergers and acquisitions data for free?

We Answered:

If you look in the S4 disclosures, you should be able to find the information you are looking for. These are available on the SEC.gov website, but you'll need to know which company to look for.

Good luck.

How to establish my business and get more orders?

We Answered:

Have you thought about pay per click programs? The two biggest, I think, are Yahoo! and Google

A couple free resources – check out the sources box for links:

1) Create a blog pertaining to your field

2) Use Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups – Be sure to read the TOS for each one!

Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

I listed a few handy sites & articles relating to marketing, promotion & advertising. Here's some book titles that are relevant:

* 301 Do-It-Yourself Marketing Ideas: From America's Most Innovative Small Companies by Sam Decker

Gertrude Said:

What can I do to stop people from sending me home business related mail?

We Answered:

You can put a sign on your mailbox telling the postal service not to drop off junk mail. If the problem persists go to the post office and discuss it with them. Never contact the junk mail advertiser because all that does is confirm to them that you are receiving it and that you name and address are valid. They can then add you to a list which they sell to other junk mailers.

Norma Said:

What books, links, sources can help me write a business plan for a ski resort development?

We Answered:

Hi,

I made a research for you. Here's what i got.

In order for a business to improve its performance it must understand what it actually does. It must convert the “how” into defined processes, which must be able to have their performance measured, and the results used to make subsequent improvements. They do not usually enable a person unfamiliar with a job to do that job, but they will help an employee, supervisor or manager understand and do their job better.
