This is the way it is at a big public university. You have to learn to cope with this and figure out how to succeed. This is how they sort out the ones really suited for a competitive field from those that are not.

You sound like you may not be a native Canadian and may have received part of your education in another country where teaching methods are quite a bit different.

This over crowding in public universities is the reason I allowed my daughter to transfer out of a big Canadian public university in the Vancouver area to a small private school in the USA. Fortunately, I made a good salary and was willing to live as if I was poor but not everyone has such ability.

What it comes down is that you have to adapt to the teaching methods, transfer to a smaller school with smaller class sizes, transfer to an easy major (though these do not lead to a job) or quit.

Some colleges only lok at grades and test scores but I think most of them care about extracurriculars. Colleges want well rounded students and participating in activties is a good way to show that you're well rounded.
From what you described, yeah it seems like your extracurriculars are good- tutoring, a part time job, piano- colleges like that kind of stuff.

Because math and science are not your favorites, you should go with a humanities job. Business is fine, but you need math as you said. If you really aspire to do business, try to practice on your math. Psychology is a good career pathway for you maybe, but it doesnt pay well unless you own ur private practice. You could also try being a translator, if you are good at languages
