advice wanted and desperately needed about writing!?

We Answered:

It is really, really good. It drags you in and it is interesting. I really like it.

Proofreading-
You spell Francis wrong in forth line of the second section.
Likable, not "like able."
Whether, not "Weather."
Write out small numbers like four, don't use numbers.

Transfer Construction Contract to New House Owner in New York?

We Answered:

Look at the guaranty. Does it say that it's limited to the person that contracted for the repair? No? Then send them a certified letter advising that they are in breach of warranty, you offered them a chance to make it right, and they refused.

Get the roof repaired. Pay the repairer. Get them to document what was wrong with the roof, including photos. Yes, you'll pay extra for that service.

Then sue the old contractor. Note that this is not a suggestion that you let the old contractor fix the roof: they will just make it worse. You have a fairly good claim against the contractor unless the warranty states that it is limited to the owner who contracted for the repair.

If your claim is $5000 or less, and the contractor has an office in the 5 boros, you can sue in small claims court at a very small cost. If the claim is bigger, you will need an attorney. You can email me to get a reference if you need one.

What do you think of my writing? Should I have been accepted by Bleacher Report?

We Answered:

You have a misused homophone in your very first sentence, and you also misuse it in wondering "whether" the Bleacher Report should have rejected you, which tells me that you don't actually know the difference.. "Whether," not "weather." Based on that, I would've declined you too.

Brush up on your grammar, honey. The competition out there is tough, and people are looking for reasons to reject your work.
