Donna Said:

I'm Starting A Business What Are The Tax Write-Offs I Need To Keep Track Of?

We Answered:

It's simple. Keep ALL receipts.
The thing is, you are in business for yourself, so everything you buy and pay for from the time you leave (or start) working to the time you return from (or stop) working are expenses that can be written off.
Now, you can not go on a lunch break and but a TV and write that off, so with in reason... You can write off quite a bit.
The best thing to do is to organize everything.
Gas receipts,
Car Payments ( if you use you car during work)
Food (lunch) - some of this can be included too.
Supplies - pen, pencil, paper, internet connections
Cell phone - Your business phone.

So you see, if you are organized and just keep everything, come tax time, a good tax person can use all of this to your advantage.

What is a consultant? What does one do and how do they get paid?

We Answered:

A consultant is to perform in a wide scope of work, ranging from writing a text book to build an overpass or bridge in the highway.
The following is an example of the guidelines of what a consultant do. It is described more specific a piece of work to be done within the deadline as both (employer and the consultant) have signed a contract.

You can find more work areas for the professional contractors in the entire following website.
Hong Kong government is the most incompetent, lack of concern, lazy, and always passing the bucks to the others and keep themselves out of the public critics. Hong Kong government has wasted more than HK $ 5 billions to pay the not necessary consultants for anything relating to the matter of public policy and public concern. For instance, building a dump site, should they buy the medicines for swine influenza, should they pay for the disadvantaged kids education, and you name it.
Hong Kong has the highest paid civil servants and, particularly those do nothing officials are the highest paid in this world. It has a first quarter fiscal deficit of 2008 is recorded as HK $ 8.4 billions (it was published as HK $ 800 billions) in the local Chinese newspapers around March 2009. Many sane and good consultants and scholars have send proposols to HK government to launch a wage cut to the overall overpaid Hong Kong civil servants and officials by at least 6% to 60% to save Hong Kong from the predicted Doomsday in the next five years. Should you think about to make millions and to rescue the poor majority of Hong Kong citizens are dipped into the severe socioeconomical problem.Write them a proposol and ask for 10 millions as the consultation fee for saving Hong Kong from economic collapse to eliminate at least 20,000 extra do nothing civil servants and to axe their overpaid wages as described in the above-noted. Hong Kong government admitted another first quater fiscal deficit of 2009 is HK $ 5.32 billions.

As for u, is forecasting such as brainstorming, delphi approach & scenario writing needed in business manageme?

We Answered:

Just think for a moment - all the really large companies that recently failed and closed

had all these- some had the most brilliant minds to consult with and money was no object.

So where did they wind up - in the trash bin - good experience and common sense beats

all this technical consultation - that's why a lot of small companies survive - simply

on common sense - the big companies think they can't fail - but then, unfortunately,

they do - while a little common sense management would have worked just fine

Discuss It!
