As for Business Communication, when you are writing to a reader use "Good Will," basically respect what they think, say, and would like-- always speak of their ideas first and explain the pro and cons before giving another idea.

Well im not sure what the teacher means by a business report, however every publicly traded corporation must file an annual and quarterly report with the United States Securities Exchange Commission. The reports can also be found on the "investor relations" section of any publicly traded corporation's website.

Basically what the annual and quarterly reports discuss (filed as form 10-k and 10-q with the Securities Exchange Commission) are the company, what it does, the risk associated with investing in the company, and the recent audited financial statements from the company. This allows investors to make an educated decision as to whether or not to invest in a certain company. The reports also contain a section written by the company's management which describe what management feels are the factors influencing the business and how the business may perform in the future.

Any 10-q or 10-k can be found for a company by searching for that company on the SEC's website:

Try typing WMT in the search field. This will allow you to examine WalMart's recent annual and quarterly reports. If you read one you can find out how much money walmart makes!
